(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Police say the curfew in Colombo has been relaxed but no approval has yet been given to reopen movie theaters.
DIG Ajith Rohana said that since movie theaters are fully air-conditioned, guidelines on how to operate them should be issued.
“Public places can be opened, but health authorities have not yet decided on opening theaters,” he said.
Guidelines and advice on common areas that are currently operational are listed on the Ministry of Health website.
The curfew will be lifted from today in all districts of the country including the Colombo and Gampaha districts. The curfew will be imposed from 10 pm to 4 am daily islandwide.
