(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Vice Chancellors of all State universities have been vested with powers from today to decide on the reopening of universities for academic activities, the University Grants Commission (UGC) said.
All State universities were temporarily closed in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The UGC said State universities can reopen for academic activities based on the 11 health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
