Larry King hospitalised with coronavirus, reports say

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Veteran US television host Larry King has tested positive for COVID-19 and is being treated at a Los Angeles hospital, reported his former employer CNN.

Citing an unidentified person close to the family, CNN said the 87-year-old has been undergoing treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for more than a week.

Hospital protocols have kept Mr King’s family members from visiting him.

The Peabody Award-winning broadcaster was among America’s most prominent interviewers of celebrities, presidents and other newsmakers during a half-century career that included 25 years with a nightly show on CNN.

“Larry has fought so many health issues in the last few years and he is fighting this one hard too, he’s a champ,” an unnamed source told the US broadcaster ABC News.
