(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – A suspect has been arrested in Wattala for posting photos of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran on the video-sharing social media network called TikTok.
Terrorism Investigation Division has arrested the 25-year-old man from Wattala, police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
The suspect was is alleged of publishing news promoting the LTTE through Tik Tok media.
It has been revealed that the suspect had originally resided in Mullaitivu and later settled in the Hatton area.
A search of his phone also revealed that he had created news items that promote various forms of terrorism.
