Sri Lanka reports two COVID-19 deaths Sunday, toll rises to 561

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Sri Lanka confirmed two death on Sunday due to COVID -19 raising the death toll from the viral disease to 561, according to health authorities.

The Director General of Health Services confirmed the following death caused by COVID -19 virus infection and accordingly the total number of deaths due to COVID -19 infection in Sri Lanka is 561 by now.

01. The deceased is a 60 year old male resident from Colombo-15. He has died on admission to Mawanella Base Hospital on February 01. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID infection and chronic kidney disease.

02. The deceased is a 35 year old male resident from Mawanella. He has died on admission to Mawanella Base Hospital on 29 December 2020. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID infection and acute diabetes.
