(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 159 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Monday.
Among the positive cases identified Monday are, 120 associates of the Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster, 17 associates of the prison cluster and 22 foreign arrivals.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 10 pm Monday, a total of 93,595 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 2,446 infected patients are being treated at hospitals. Another 324 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.
Five deaths were reported on Monday raising the total to 586 and 90,563 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Up to Monday, a total of 924,479 individuals have been vaccinated.
