(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 283 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Sunday.
Among the positive cases identified Sunday are, 175 associates of the Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster, 50 associates of prison cluster and 58 foreign arrivals.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 10 pm Sunday, a total of 94,131 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 2,902 infected patients are being treated at hospitals. Another 316 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.
Two deaths due to COVID-19 was reported on Sunday raising the total to 598 and 91,631 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Up to Sunday, a total of 925,242 individuals have been vaccinated.
