(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Six persons, including two women, were arrested with 13 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine also know an ‘ice’ in the Niwandama area in Ja-Ela.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the suspects were arrested during an operation carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau yesterday (11).
The ice was packed in small plastic boxes and hidden in two school bags, police said.
The suspects are currently being held at the Police Narcotics Bureau in Colombo, the police spokesman said.
