(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Sri Lanka reported that 51 deaths due to COVID-19 occurred on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
The Director General of Health Services today (17) confirmed that 51 deaths occurred on Wednesday 16 June without stating the total number of deaths due to the pandemic.
Among the Wednesday’s dead are 20 females and 31 males. The majority of the deaths numbering 37 are in the over 60 years of age group.
According to the data reported by the Government Information Department, the total deaths due to Covid-19 Since the pandemic began last March has now risen to 2,425 including the deaths confirmed today.
