(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Sri Lanka Wednesday reported that 47 deaths due to COVID-19 occurred on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
The Director General of Health Services today confirmed that 47 deaths occurred on Tuesday 29 June due to the COVID-19.
Among the Tuesday’s dead are 31 females and 16 males. The majority of the deaths numbering 34 are of the people in the over 60 years of age group.
According to the data reported by the Government Information Department, the total deaths due to Covid-19 since the pandemic began last March has now risen to 3,077 including the deaths confirmed Tuesday.
