(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 740 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Tuesday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 8:30 pm Tuesday, a total of 558,860 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
While 17,150 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 527,528 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Sri Lanka Tuesday reported 24 deaths raising the total to 14,182.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 15,914,780 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 13,716,871 have received the second dose. In addition, 324,633 have received the third booster dose.
