(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –The Ministry of Health has decided to give the booster dose of Covid 19 vaccine for age group 30 year and above and economically important vulnerable population categories in selected high-risk settings in all districts from today (Dec 10).
It is advised to provide only one dose for those who have completed 2 doses from any Covid-19 vaccine type and the time elapsed 3 month from the 2nd dose.
Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena has instructed to arrange to provide booster vaccination to all in 30 years of age and above through organized clinics at the field level and hospitals with adequate communication to get down all 30 year age group and above in all districts, to complete at the earliest possible.
