(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 479 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Tuesday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 06:15 pm Tuesday, a total of 584,586 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
While 9,788 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 559,875 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Sri Lanka Tuesday reported 22 deaths raising the total to 14,923.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 15,985,386 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 13,833,773 have received the second dose. In addition, 3,550,824 have received the third booster dose.
