(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 827 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Thursday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 6:40 pm Thursday, a total of 599,363 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
While 15,279 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 568,829 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Sri Lanka Thursday reported 12 deaths raising the total to 15,255.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 16,294,449 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 13,878,734 have received the second dose. In addition, 4,829,720 have received the third booster dose.
