(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 292 new COVID-19 infections were reported so far on Wednesday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 7 pm Wednesday, a total of 660,151 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
While 18,843 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 624,863 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Sri Lanka Wednesday reported 05 deaths raising the total to 16,445.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 16,995,787 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 14,387,077 have received the second dose. In addition, 7,719,703 have received the third booster dose.
