(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –The Department of Immigration and Emigration announces that it is compulsory to make an appointment to obtain passport services and an advance date and time should be reserved when applying for passports under the one day and normal service.
Issuance of Passports of the Department of Immigration and Emigration under normal and one-day services resumed with effect from 17.05.2022 as usual.
The Department says that although it is mandatory to make reservations from the 17th, many clients come to obtain the services without booking an advance date and time.
The Department announces that the normal and one-day services will be provided only to applicants who have made an appointment.
Applicants are requested to use the website http://www.immigration.gov.lk/ or contact number 0707101060 for the purpose.
Facilities have been provided from 8.30am to 3.00 pm on Public working days if the telephone number is used.
