(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Paddy Marketing Board has purchased 282 metric tons of paddy yesterday (21), which is the fourth day since the paddy procurement started.
Accordingly, within 4 days, the Paddy Marketing Board purchased 1126 metric tons of paddy from the farmers, according to Mr. Neil de Alwis, the Chairman of the PMB.
Yesterday (21) 73 warehouses are open for buying paddy in areas where paddy is harvested and threshed.
