(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry met with the visiting Ambassador of Israel to Sri Lanka Naor Gilon, resident in New Delhi, on 15 September, 2022.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Sabry discussed ways of elevating the bilateral relations between the two countries, covering a multitude of areas including matters related to agriculture, food security and renewable energy.
While elaborating on the Israeli best practices in agriculture, Ambassador Gilon stated that the Israeli government is keen to assist with the upgrade of the Sri Lankan agriculture sector by introducing high technology and capacity building for farmers.
Foreign Minister Sabry also appreciated the employment opportunities offered to Sri Lankan nationals in Israel and invited more tourists from Israel to visit Sri Lanka.
