(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The agreement on cooperation in tourism between the governments of Belarus and Sri Lanka has come into force, BeltA, the official news agency of Belarus reported.
The agreement is designed to strengthen friendly relations, mutual understanding, and goodwill between the peoples of the two states and to promote the knowledge of the historical and cultural heritage and the development of tourism for the economic and cultural progress of both countries.
The parties plan to promote contacts between tourism associations and organizations, tour operators and agencies, to create favorable conditions for attracting investments in the tourism industry, to encourage mutual participation of tourism organizations in international tourism exhibitions and fairs held in the two states, and so on.
The agreement has been concluded for an indefinite period and comes into force from the date of receipt, through diplomatic channels, of the written notification of the fulfillment by the parties of the necessary domestic procedures.
