(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka will host the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Sri Lanka, for the next three years till 2024. The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a global initiative that recognizes and empowers entrepreneurs in every country through several initiatives. GEW is one of the Global Entrepreneurs Network’s (GEN) signature events organized in over 180 nations. Over 20,000 partner organizations and 40,000 activities will take place worldwide from November 14th to November 20th, 2022.
This year, GEW 2022, Sri Lanka will cover four themes; ecosystems, education, inclusion, and policy, to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka and across industries by strengthening links via collaboration among local entrepreneurs, investors, and researchers.
Throughout the GEW, informative and engaging discussions will take place, encouraging aspiring startups to bring ideas to life, stimulate economic expansion, and improve the welfare of individuals. In addition, it will enable aspiring entrepreneurs who encounter obstacles to launch and scale their businesses. Furthermore, established entrepreneurs would gain valuable advice and networking opportunities to build their businesses by allowing everyone to access entrepreneurship and innovation.GEW is also a platform to instill a passion for business among the younger generation.
