(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –The Police said another nine individuals were arrested for forcibly entering the Presidential Secretariat and damaging public property on the 9th of July.
The suspects have been arrested by the Colombo North Division Criminal Investigation Department.
The arrested suspects are between the ages of 22 and 43 and residents of Nikadalupotha, Kurunegala, Gonagama, and Colombo 10.
The suspects are to be produced before the court.
The Colombo North Division Criminal Investigation Department is conducting further investigations.
The anti-government protesters forcibly entered the Presidential Secretariat and occupied the state building for nearly two weeks until it was recaptured from the protesters in a military operation on 22 July.
