SLT-MOBITEL powers ‘Nidahas Papedi Sawariya 2023′ to mark the nation’s 75th year of Independence

In commemoration of Sri Lanka’s 75th year of National Independence, SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT Solutions Provider is powering the Nidahas Papedi Sawariya 2023.

Organized by the Presidential Secretariat, State Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government, and the Ministry of Sports, the four-day race will showcase the prowess of over a hundred professional athletes, bringing together the country’s top cyclists.

The race began on the morning of 31 January from Point Pedro, Jaffna, and will end on 3rd February at Dondra, Matara. The total distance of the cycle ride is 547.8 kilometers. Over the four-day competition riders will participate in four rounds; Day 1 from Point Pedro to Medawachchiya, Day 2 Medawachchiya to Mahiyanganaya, Day 3 Mahiyanganaya to Wellawaya and the final day will be from Wellawaya to Matara.

The leading rider on each day will wear Yellow Jersey while the leader in the sprint category will don the Green Jersey, and the Most talented Under-23 rider will wear the white Jersey.

As the country marks 75 years of Independence, SLT-MOBITEL’s support for the competition reflects the brand’s commitment to empowering skills and connecting communities.
