(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha told the Expert Committee appointed to solve the problems in the Principal Service to submit proposals without further delay.
The committee appointed by the Secretary of Education on the advice of Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha met recently at the Ministry of Education, under the aegis of the Minister of Education.
The minister drew attention to several major problems in the Sri Lanka Principals Service, particularly the issues such as salary anomalies, recruitment procedures, promotions and transfers, as highlighted in the proposals made by officials and trade unions.
The minister reviewed the work progress of the committee so far and asked the committee to come up with short-term solutions as soon as possible to solve the basic problems.
Minister of Education, Dr. Susil Premajayantha, appointed a five-member expert committee to formally examine the long-standing service problems and shortcomings of the Sri Lanka Principal Service and report prompt solutions.
