(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – For the convenience of the commuters entering Colombo, a new bus service from Ratmalana Railway Station to Maharagama and on the Mount Lavinia, Borupana, Werahera, Kottawa route was initiated by the Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media Dr. Bandula Gunawardena today.
The new service by Sri Lanka Transport Board’s Moratuwa and Ratmalana Depots connects Galle Road, Horana Colombo Main Road and High Level Roads
With the commencement of the new bus service on these routes, which are used by a large number of passengers daily to enter and exit Colombo, the transportation problems of a large number of people expected to be solved.
Former Minister and Member of Parliament Gamini Lokuge, Chairman of Sri Lanka Transport Board Lalith de Alwis, Deputy General Manager (Operation) Panduka Swaranahamsa, Chairman of Road Development Authority Chaminda Athaluvage and other officials attended the event.
