(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – State Minister of Finance shehansemasinghe says that the necessary economic sustainability for doing businesses will be enhanced in sri Lanka with the implementation of the International Monetary Fund’s program .
The Minister points out that the background is being created through reforms currently being implemented.This was discussed during a discussion organized by the colombo chamber of commerce on the contribution of the food and beverage industry for the economic growth of the country where the industrialists expressed their opinions regarding the challenges faced in the current economic crisis.
The minister mentioned that Sri Lanka is still in the initial stage of recovering from the crisis and sri Lanka will not face the same economic crisis again as the reforms required to be done are implemented.Hon.semasinghe also pointed out that confidence for businesses will be increased especially with governance mesures undertaken to elemenate bribery and corruption.Further government revenure will be enanced by digitalization to ensure no tax avoidness and evasion will be possible.
