(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The 02 SriLankan flights that were diverted to India yesterday (30) due to adverse weather, have returned to the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
SriLankan flights UL-365 from Jakarta and UL-116 from Male were diverted to the Trivandrum Airport in this manner due to bad weather conditions in Katunayake and Mattala.
It is said that this is the first instance where an aircraft was diverted to an Indian airport after the construction of the Mattala Airport.
