(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Cabinet of Ministers has granted its approval to increase the Value-Added Tax (VAT) from next year, the Cabinet Spokesman says.
Addressing the Cabinet press briefing today (Oct. 31), Minister Bandula Gunawardena said VAT will be raised up to 18% with effect from January 01, 2024.
