(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The budget head of the Ministry of defense taken up for debate Yesterday(23), on the second day of the Committee Stage of the Appropriation Bill for the year 2024, was passed by a majority of 68 votes.
Following the debate of the Committee Stage held today at around 6:00 pm, Member of Parliament of the All Ceylon Tamil Congress, G. G. Ponnambalam, called for a division for the budget head of the Ministry of Defense.
Accordingly, 76 votes were cast in favor of the budget head of the Ministry of Defense and 8 votes were cast against.
