SL records 32-run victory over India

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Spin bowler Jeffrey Vandersay’s career best figures and skipper Charith Asalanka’s brilliance with the ball led Sri Lanka to a 32-run victory over India in the second ODI yesterday (Aug. 04).

Kamindu Mendis and Avishka Fernando helped Sri Lanka post a challenging total of 240 while batting first and then the experienced spinner Jeffrey Vandersy picked six wickets to bowl out India to 28 in 42.2 overs.

The win gives Sri Lanka a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.
