(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Army has made history by winning the National Karate Championship 2024, securing the overall title for the first time.
The tournament, which featured the participation of athletes from 31 sports clubs, was conducted across 35 different events. The Sri Lanka Army athletes excelled in the competition, earning 26 Gold Medals, 26 Silver Medals, and 30 Bronze Medals.
In the overall rankings, the Sri Lanka Army emerged victorious, while the Sri Lanka Air Force, the University of Peradeniya, and the Sri Lanka Navy secured second, third, and fourth places, respectively.
