(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – A pistol and a revolver as well as 10 rounds of ammunition were found inside a bag at the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court premises on Wednesday (01).
The Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court temporarily suspended the sessions following the discovery of weapons inside its premises. It is believed that the weapons have brought to the Court premises to carry out an attack.
The finding comes just days after 7 persons, including 2 Prison Officers, were killed in a shootout in Kalutara, when a prison bus came under fire by unidentified gunmen.
