(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Speaker of Finland Parliament Maria Lohela said that strengthening the relationship between the Parliaments of Sri Lanka and Finland steps should be taken to start exchange programs between the two Parliaments.
She made these remarks when visiting Sri Lankan PM Ranil Wickremesinghe met with her yesterday (10th Oct.) at the Finland Parliamentary Complex.
She said that they are willing to give an opportunity to study the Finland parliament system and tradition and are willing to learn from the parliament systems of other countries.
Speaker Lohela further said that they are willing to openly discuss about the Finland Parliament system.
The speaker admired the steps taken by Sri Lanka to strengthen the parliament democracy while PM Wickremesinghe explained the steps taken by Sri Lanka in detail.
