(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said that there would be no room to bring a Constitution, which causes damages to the country, people, Buddhism or any other religion in the country during his tenure as the Speaker.
He said although there were various proposals from various parties on a Constitution, a draft of a Constitution have not been prepared so far.
At a religious ceremony held in Mirigama recently, the Speaker said that he promised whole nation that he would work responsibly carefully when signing any constitution passed by the Parliament.
