(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Police officers attached to Ampara Police have arrested a suspect in Ampara Town who was ready to transport 23,400 Tramadol pills in a car.
Ampara police acting on a tip-off arrested the suspect and took the car into custody during a raid at around 1 pm yesterday (19).
The suspect is a 65-year-old resident of Akkaraipattu. He is due to be presented in Ampara Magistrate’s Court today.
Ampara police are conducting further investigations.
