(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – A 10-year-old boy who was reported missing for two days was found dead in a jungle in Iranawala, Chilaw this morning.
The deceased boy identified as Rusitha Nirmal was reported missing from February 25.
He is a grade 4 student in the Iranawala Government School and the third in the family of five siblings.
His father is a fisherman by profession.
A resident of the village had last seen the boy walking towards a nearby mangrove accompanied by an unidentified man, the Police said.
Further investigations are underway.
