(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The timeframe granted for voters to examine if their names are in the 2018 Voter Register will ends today.
The public could visit the respective District Secretariats and update their details, Additional Commissioner of Elections, M.M. Mohammed said,
Executive Director of election monitoring body the People’s Action for a Free and Fair Election Rohana Hettiarachchi said, the 2018 Voter Register will most likely come into effect in the near future.
He further ssaid, the 2018 voter register will likely be used for primary elections in the near future adding the opportunity to amend respective names within the day must not be forfeited.
