(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Fairly strong gusty winds up to 50 kmph can be expected in North-Central and Uva Provinces and in Hambanthota Districts, the Department of Meteorology said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western Provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts. Fairly heavy falls about 75mm can be expected at some places in the Central and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, and also in Kaluthara, Galle and Matara Districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in North-Western Province and in Hambanthota District.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Ampara and Batticaloa Districts after 2.00 PM.
