(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Ministry of Agriculture of Sri Lanka in collaboration with stakeholders, is planning an Agriculture Exhibition for six days from 11 to 16 December 2018 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) premises in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
This exhibition will primarily focus on the modernization of the Sri Lanka’s agriculture sector and portray the activities spearheaded by the “Agriculture Sector Modernization Project” currently implemented by the Ministry.
The exhibition is a professional agriculture event to showcase ground breaking innovative agriculture technology of the world to modernize the agriculture sector in Sri Lanka. In addition, this event will be used to disseminate information on the new development trends and processes within the agriculture sector to stakeholders.
The exhibition will also be used to showcase a wide range of new agriculture produce/products, particularly those with a pretention for export to attract foreign buyers. Simultaneously, this will be a good opportunity for the local producers as well as the foreign suppliers of agriculture materials and machinery to display their projects and obtain market exposure.
The exhibition will showcase a wide spectrum of Agriculture Products & Services including agriculture machinery and tools, bio technology, agro ecology, protected houses, irrigation and water management, floriculture, home garden, urban agriculture, plant protection, landscaping, pest management, fertilizer and chemicals, organic agriculture, postharvest technology, software and hardware, marketing and export services and seed technology etc.
