(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Central Committee of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) is scheduled to convene today (01) under the chairmanship of President Maithripala Sirisena.
The meeting will be held at 7 pm today at the President’s House in Colombo, General Secretary of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said.
This is the first meeting of the SLFP Central Committee after Mahinda Rajapaksa was appointed as the new Prime Minister and the establishment of the new government.
The General Secretary of SLFP Prof Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said that they expect to discuss the current political status of the country at the meeting.
