(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Officers of Police Narcotic Bureau division of Negombo during a raid conducted on a tip-off have arrested a suspect with 2.6 kilograms of heroin in Kochchikade, Negombo.
The heroin was recovered from the baggage of the suspect. The heroin stock is estimated to be worth over Rs. 20 million.
The suspect, identified as Mohamed Zaruk Mohomad Sedik, is a 51-year-old resident of Poruthota, Kochchikade.
He will be produced before the Negombo Magistrate today (07).
