(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –President Maithripala Sirisena visited the Central Environment Authority and observed its functioning Thursday (Nov 13).
After inquiring into internal functions of CEA and its financial dealings, President Srisena instructed the officials to continue its activities to achieve the objectives for the year without allowing the political climate be a hindrance.
The President also looked into the issuance of Environmental Preservation Permits and the criteria thereof.
Secretary to the Ministry of Mahaweli development & Environment, Anura Dissanayake and other senior officials were present on this occasion.
