(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Sri Lanka’s top seafood restaurant, Ministry of Crab (MoC), is set to be unveiled in Mumbai next month with co-owners Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene expected to be present.
A popular eatery in Sri Lanka’s capital of Colombo, Ministry of Crab has attracted travellers and touring cricket teams since it opened its doors in 2011. Now, Mumbaikars will get the chance to taste the restaurant’s assortment of seafood dishes crafted by award-winning chef and co-owner, Dharshan Munidasa.
“The tentative date of launching the seafood restaurant in Mumbai’s Western suburb (Khar West) is on February 14 and the work at the site is in full swing,” a source was quoted as telling Sri Lanka’s Daily Mirror. “Both Sangakkara and Jayawardene are overseas but will certainly spare time to come over on the day of opening.”
The Japan-born celebrity chef Munidasa is a self-taught culinary expert and will spend few days in Mumbai before the launching of the MoC outlet which has been designed by interior design firm-transform Projects (Pvt) Limited.
