(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Three persons have died in a fatal accident in Maddalanda, Polgahawela along the Colombo – Kurunegala road today.
The deceased persons include two women of the same family. Three children sustained injuries in the accident.
Police said that a van, belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy in which several navy officers were traveling, had collided with the three-wheeler this morning.
The injured children are 4, 9 and 16 years of age. They have been admitted to the Kurunegala hospital for treatment.
