(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Leader of the Opposition Mahinda Rajapaksa has met with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe for discussion on economic recovery and relief for the people affected by the Easter Sunday attacks.
Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera, Non-Cabinet Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva and Treasury Secretary Dr. RHS Samaratunga, also participated in the discussion while opposition Parliamentarians Dinesh Gunawardena, Susil Premajayantha, Bandula Gunawardena, Udaya Gammanpila, and Gamini Lokuge accompanied the Opposition Leader.
Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Finance Ministry Advisor Mano Tittawella, and Treasury officials were also present.
Following the discussions, Minister Harsha de Silva in a Tweet said the meeting with the Opposition Leader to discuss the post Easter Sunday economic recovery program was a positive move.
