(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has given instructions to the Ministry of Buddha Sasana to make arrangements to celebrate the Poson festival this year.
Accordingly, instructions have been given to all state institutions to make arrangements jointly with the security forces to grandly celebrate the Poson this year.
The country has established the necessary security for all Poson celebrations, including alms giving, sil and meditation and decorations.
In the meantime, the Prime Minister has informed the ruling party parliamentarians to use their organizational strength as well as their contribution to make Poson celebrations a success in their respective areas.
The Prime Minister has also advised the United National Party organizers to organize Poson festivals in their respective areas.
