JMI activist arrested

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Ampara police succeeded in arresting one activist of the banned Jamathei Millathu Ibraheem (JMI) organisation .

The arrest was made on information given by State Intelligence Service (SIS) officers in Ampara.

Initial investigation revealed that the suspect, Mohamed Rafaideen Mohamed Ali, a resident of Welanboda in Gampola, had participated in the training camp held in Nuwara Eliya by terrorist leader Zahran Hashim.
