(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP) Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam says the presidential candidate of the UNP will be announced in the next week.
He said that UNP leader, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had informed him about it.
A special discussion will be held between the Prime Minister and the party leaders of the United National Front (UNP) this afternoon, the UNP General Secretary added.
