(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – A man stabbed his wife, his father and mother-in-law killing two of them in Udadumbara last night, the Police media unit said.
The Police said that the man had been under the influence of liquor and had engaged in a heated argument with his wife.
The heated exchange had escalated resulting in the man stabbing his wife, his father and mother-in-law.
His 53 year-old father and 45 year-old mother-in-law succumbed to their injuries, the Police said.
The wife was admitted to hospital for treatment.
The Police said that the man who committed the crime had fled the scene.
