“19th Amendment won’t hinder service to public” – Sajith Premadasa

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – United National Front (UNF) led New Democratic Front (NDF)Presidential candidate Minister Sajith Premadasa says the 19th Amendment will not be an obstruction to fulfill the aspirations of the public.

Speaking during a rally in Wellawaya Minister Sajith Premadasa said although several persons are of the opinion that the post of President will only be nominal following the 19th Amendment, he will not act as a puppet after being elected President.

Minister Premadasa noted if elected President he will be a direct leader, with a strong willpower and will fulfill services to the public.

Minister Sajith Premadasa further noted he will not include corrupt individuals in the historic programme to build a new Sri Lanka.

He stressed skilled persons will be given a place, adding that the talented youth will be brought forward.

The Minister said a new journey will commence with the new generation, in order to develop the country with the public organisations, following his victory at the upcoming Presidential Election.

Commenting on national security Minister Premadasa said he has already named the true hero of the war as the Minister of Law and Order and Defence.
