(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – National People’s Power Presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday (14) pointed out that education needs to be considered as the central theme in the current election process.
“Education is the only weapon for us to move forward as a country. We do not posses many commercial resources within the country. The only resource we have is human resources. In that case, education plays a major rule in the economic strategy,” he said.
Dissanayake was speaking at the launch of the educational policy of the National People’s Power under the theme “Quality Education: a Civilized citizen” at Waters Edge in Battaramulla yesterday.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake highlighted the fact that education needs to be considered as the central theme on the election stage.
